Hotel Booking Information!

Boskone will be housed completely in the Sheraton Boston Hotel at 39 Dalton Street in downtown Boston. All official Boskone activities will take place in the hotel's function space, and our convention rate for rooms is $125 single, $135 double, $145 triple, $155 quad.

The Sheraton Boston is connected to the Prudential Mall and Copley Place, where Boskone members can dine at Marché Movenpick, a choice of two Legal Sea Foods, or many other restaurants within a short walking distance. There is also a fully enclosed walking route from Amtrak's Back Bay Station to our facilities (detailed directions coming soon.)

There are two blocks in the Sheraton — the party block and the non-party block. The party block is for all those who wish to throw parties or who either want to be near parties or don't mind being near parties. You must specify either the party block or the non-party block when you make your reservations.

New! The Sheraton Hotel's reservation system may tell you that the block is full. This is not correct. This can happen on either the telephone or web site.

If you are told that the block is full, do not complain directly to the Hotel. Send e-mail to info@boskone.org. This will be sent to our Hotel liaison who will fix the problem. If you attempt to make a reservation after January 22, 2004 and are told that the block is full, do not despair. Our hotel block is extended though January 26, 2004. In all cases, suites for parties must be reserved thru us.

Online Hotel Reservations!

In addition to booking your rooms, you can view a slide show of the hotel and general hotel information. Guests can sign up for our award winning frequent guest program, Starwood Preferred Guest on the web site.

The Sheraton meeting attendee reservations process is different from their regular Internet reservations process. You DO NOT go in through the standard Sheraton Hotels web site, and the menus choices are different. The differences are explained below.

On that screen, enter Boston/Mass/US and the code for the block. The party block is 14008, and the non-party block is 11154. Continue to the next screen, and locate the Sheraton Boston Hotel. This is a link, but DO NOT click on the link. Instead, click on the "Select" button after the name of the hotel. The next screen requests a checkin/out day, smoking and bed preferences, and number of rooms/guests. Fill this in and continue. The next screen allows you to select the room type that matches your preferences, if available. From this point on, it collects your information (name, address, credit card number, etc.), and you can complete the reservation normally.

New! Queen rooms in our non-party block (11154) are still available via the online system. Please don't give a smoking preference. We can help you fix that once you have a reservation.

Telephone reservations:

Contact your local Sheraton phone reservations office. In the US, it's 800-325-3535; check your local telephone directory if you are calling from a non-US location. The names of the blocks are "Boskone 2004 Party block" and "Boskone 2004 Non-party block" (and they can also look up things by the group code listed above).

Special Requests

A limited number of handicapped-access rooms are available, so please let the hotel know right away if you have any special needs. Likewise, rollaway beds and cribs are in short supply, so let them know if you think you'll need one. If you want to reserve a suite, please contact us at info@boskone.org or write to us at our postal address.

Check-in and Check-out: Check-in begins at 3 p.m. Check-out time is 12 noon. A late check-out of 2 p.m. may be available. You can avoid morning check-out lines by pre-paying as early as the night before!

If you have to cancel your reservation, you must do so at least 48 hours before your check-in time to avoid a penalty.
