2025 MCFI Relaxacon on Cape Cod
Corsair and Cross Rip Oceanfront Resort - Cape Cod
Address: 41 Chase Ave, Dennis Port, MA 02639
Phone: (508) 398-2279
If you haven’t already made a reservation, please call NOW from 9 AM to 9 PM daily. Phone: (508) 398-2279. You need to call to get the rate; there is no code to get this rate online.
Rates are $175/$195/$215 for normal / partial ocean view / ocean view plus $20 per person for more than 2 people per room. You should mention the MCFI / Rick Kovalcik group to get those rates.
We are planning communal breakfasts and lunches on Saturday and Sunday as well as snacks and soft drinks. The plan would be to go out for dinner or to do take-out on Friday and Saturday (and maybe Sunday). We expect there will also be some BYOB which in the past has generally been shared. Please let us know if there are allergy or dietary concerns.
The registration fee of $30 payable to MCFI (by paypal to paypal@mcfi.org or by check to MCFI, PO Box 1010, Framingham, MA 01701) covers the breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and soft drinks. (The fee for those between 6 and 12 would be $15 and 5 and under would be free.) (The fees for Saturday only would be $20 adult and $10 for 6-12; 5 and under would be free.)
You can also pay your registration onsite if necessary.
The communal function space will be the oceanfront hospitality house pictured between the two main buildings on their website (https://www.corsaircrossrip.com/). This hospitality house has an open floorplan with a full kitchen on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor which are used for breakout rooms / gaming, but there is no sleeping in the hospitality house. There is talk of some tech gear training / experimentation happening this year. (Note: The hospitality house is not handicapped accessible in that there are a handful of stairs up to the first floor and a flight of stairs up to the second floor.)
Vaccination is not required. Masks are optional but request that people be respectful. Eating and drinking outside on the deck is encouraged. Weather permitting we will keep windows open to improve airflow.
Temperatures are predicted to be unpredictable (last year was in the 60s), so dress appropriately. Bring layers.
This event is under the MCFI Code of Conduct (http://www.mcfi.org/codeofconduct.pdf).
